Features of call center headsets include suitability for long-term wear, clear call quality, noise cancellation, stable signal, and increased durability. Call center headsets generally do not have L/R markings; you can wear them according to your own preference. So how do you wear and use them correctly?
Correct wearing steps:
1. Adjusting the headband
- Hold both ends of the headset with both hands, pull the headband apart to a width slightly greater than your head width, place the headband on your head from front to back, and then fine-tune it to fit the sides of your head. It should feel snug but not constricting;
- Always use both hands to put on and take off the headset, as using only one hand can cause excessive pulling force and potentially break the headband;
- Wear it centrally; the headband should rest steadily on the top center of your head, distributing most of the weight.

2. Microphone position
- Rotate the microphone boom to near your mouth. It is generally recommended that the optimal pickup angle for the main microphone is 45-60 degrees (relative to the midline of the mouth); the microphone head should be about 1-2 fingers (2-3 cm) away from your mouth;
- Ensure the microphone hole is facing your mouth, which is crucial for clear sound pickup. Avoid placing the microphone near your nostrils or below your chin.

3. Wearing the earcups
- On-ear headsets usually have a certain degree of self-adapting design for the earcups. For example, some headsets have universally adjustable earcups or headphone arms that can rotate 180°. When wearing, gently press/rotate them to fit the sides of your head and ears;
- After wearing, gently press the edges of the earcups with your fingers to check for any noticeable gaps.

4. Positioning the in-line control
- Let the in-line control hang naturally, rather than holding it in your hand. The microphone being too far from your mouth, or the distance between the microphone and the in-line control being too short, can affect sound quality. This is a result we obtained after countless tests.

Benefits of wearing headphones correctly:
- Achieve optimal call quality. The correct angle and distance of the microphone effectively capture your clear and full voice.
- Enjoy a more comfortable experience. Even pressure distribution and appropriate tightness significantly reduce pressure on the head and ears.
- Enhance noise cancellation. The best noise cancellation effect (ENC) is achieved only with the correct distance and angle.
- Protect your hearing. Well-fitting earcups effectively block out ambient noise, preventing hearing damage caused by prolonged use at high volume.
